In the United States, five million people have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The numbers of persons diagnosed worldwide is staggering, at close to 44 million people. However, for their caregivers and to us, these are more than numbers.
This site is designed to provide hope to the caregivers, of loved ones living with the relentless disease of Alzheimer’s, or with other mind-altering diseases. Navigatingalzheimersdisease.com, is a faith based site, but all are invited to take refuge within this community of empathetic followers.
Unfortunately, there is a certain stigma associated with diseases that affect brain function. But, not here. Navigating Alzheimer’s disease exist for the encouragement of caregivers who feel helpless in the wake of a disease that leaves no one untouched. Each patient represents a host of individuals; loved ones forced into a battle they never wanted; to face a relentless foe in a war that will not be won.
Your battle matters to us, and to God, whose eye is on each sparrow that falls. Our goal is to assist you. Perhaps, in some small way we can help to shoulder your burden, as you navigate the twists and turns of Alzheimer’s disease.
